About This Item

Stockholm, Sweden;1750s. Leather hardboards, black and worn with 6 straps on spine with strong binding. Title page giving publisher and date has been torn out. The text is in old Swedish. Johan Arndt was an early Luthern theologian connected to Pietism. Spener may have been the editor. The second page seems to be a dedication to the Queen of Sweden: Ulrica Eleonnra. The inside covers are noted with previous owners (see photos).

Crowded Closet is a nonprofit thrift store. All proceeds support world peace, relief and development through Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).
