NY: Viking, 1940. Bound in gray buckram, stamped in dark red. Lacks the dust jacket. The top stain is still dark red (to match the type on the dust jacket), but shows a few spots. Overall, a tight, clean copy of the first U.S. edition of this book of 13 short stories, including the noted "Hail Mary". Illustrated by Valenti Angelo. 211 pp.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good +/No Dustjacket.
