Very Good with light lean to binding, slight toning to spine, dust-soiling, spotting to plum topstain, bookseller ticket to rear paste down and pages toned. A collection of short stories by the Italian-American L.A. author, who was hailed by Charles Bukowski as a major influence.

In a near-fine dust jacket (price clipped) which is clean and vibrant with a touch of wear and two small closed tears to the top edge. Signed by the author prior to publication on a tipped in label affixed to the flyleaf: "John Fante, Sept 1, 1940." A beautiful signed copy of Fante's third book.
