Reviews

On Apr 2 2020, a reader said:
This is a collection of nature tales based on the author's own real life experiences and diverse travels. William Byron Mowery was more than a great writer of remarkable fiction set in the Great North Country, but a great preservationist and conservationist who fought for the protection of the American wolf. He recounts that story in this book. There is also a story about a fox cub and how it can be raised as a pet. He also tells about what plants one can safely eat and be made into a salad. A fascinating book, full of wonderful discovery of the out of doors.
