Book in VERY GOOD condition Daisy Bates was a writer who documented the culture and languages of Australia's Aboriginal people long before most other European Australians began to take notice. She set up camp in the outback to live and work amongst the native people. Independent and stubborn, Daisy was also contradictory. In the one hand rough, and shot rabbits for food; on the other, she hobnobbed with high society. Daisy Bates contributed a vast and unique body of information to Australia's national heritage. Her marriage to 'Breaker' Morant was one of the shortest in Australian history.
