First edition with the Ruskin and Greenaway contributions (first issued in 1823 and reprinted a number of times through the 19th century), but a dark blue cloth variant not mentioned by Schuster. Small 8vo. iv, (2), 20 pp. Illustrated from line drawings, plate. "Relates in rhyme the clever, kind, and comical deeds of a woman's cats" (OCLC). Schuster 64. Gift inscription on front endpaper dated 1899, title page browned, else very good. Original gilt-stamped decorated cloth. (9677).
