Symeon Shimin. 8vo, blue cloth with silver lettering on spine, archival mylar-protected pictorial dust jacket (unclipped) depicting a baby boy facing a dancing male lion by firelight, illustrated throughout in umber & blue tones by Symeon Shimin, yellow-gold sand dune endpapers, [~ 44] pages. Madeleine L'Engle Camp (1918 - 2007) was an American writer of young adult fiction, including A Wrinkle in Time, a classic that won the Newberry Medal. L'Engle's works reflect her Christian faith, strong interest in science, and human relationships. Symeon Shimin (1902 - 1982) was a noted Russian-American artist and illustrator of more than 50 children's books. SUPERIOR CONDITION: tight, clean, bright in a sharp dust jacket (unclipped) with slight edgewear and a tiny peripheral nick or two.
