About This Item
Donald Hamilton Fraser's ballet drawings already have many admirers.
This delightful book is set to increase this number. These insightful and lovingly executed drawings demonstrate Hailton Fraser's natural skill as a draughtsman. For the artist, they are 'little maps of experience',each one expressing and capturing a moment in a dancer's life, whether it be in class,in performance, or simply in repose.
Hamilton Fraser, whose work is represented in major public collections throughout the world, admits to a devotion to ballet that borders on the obsessional. He says: 'the language of ballet confers sheer physical beauty on a person'.
