Small old bookseller's label affixed to lower front free endpaper [History Bookshop, London]. No previous ownership marks. A tale of the Queen's soldier's off to rescue European hostages from a remote fortress in Ethiopia in the year 1867. Loosely based on real events, a rousing adventure yarn set in the hey-day of British Imperialism. A very clean, square, fresh and unmarked copy. Near fine in a near fine dust-jacket. . First Edition.
