Hardcover First Edition - First Printing New York: Everest House, 1981 400 pages. $13.95 cover price. Stated Printing code "RRD281", interpreted to mean this copy was issued February, 1981, its first printing. King's first book of nonfiction about the horror genre including books and movies such as "Psycho", "The Shining", and "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson.

Fine- in Fine- Dust Jacket. An exceptional copy, not often found as such, nearly perfect save a few minor shortcomings. As to the book itself, boards are clean, the lettering on the spine very bright, the boards are very clean, corners are mostly straight, with just a hint of tenderness, the inner pages are pretty clean. The dust jacket in one of the best I've seen in several years. NO tears and NO chips, a few rub marks here and there, which plague this book, mostly on the edges, most noticeable to bottom spine, and tiny nicks to the front corners, and a bit of edge-wear to the top edge. Still an outstanding copy as compared to most copies. Better than it sounds. Priced to sell.
