Embossed, stamped burgundy cloth with black, silver and gilt decorative front and gilt lettering /rules to the spine. Undated , but circa 1880 s. 60 B&W illustrations by Gustave Dore. Brown EPs. This copy is NEAR FINE. Exterior is rich. Front gilt is bright. Only minimal wear to spine ends/tips/ edges. Spine gilt has faded. Inside is crisp, unmarked, and tight. Modest moderate toning throughout. All page edges gilt. Uncommon from this publisher..
