Decorative wrappers; rebound in plain brown paper, with the original front wrapper pasted to the front, the spine lettered by hand with the title & author. Issued as No. 86 in Lippincott's Series of Select Novels, June 1, 1888. New covers pasted to first & last leaves, some edge wear, very good in general. First published in 1880, this is a tale told by a Stradivarius violin.
