About This Item

Cleveland and New York: The World Publishing Company. 248 pages. There's an unusual inscription on the dedication page. Next to the printed dedication -- To My Brother -- someone wrote "Herbert" which was the name of the author's brother. Below that is inscribed "Jennie Hoffman from David Goodis." This is not in Goodis's handwriting, but apparently a note made by Hoffman, who received the book from Goodis. I haven't been able to identify who Jennie Hoffman was. . Very Good. Hardcover. Reprint. 1947.
