Relevant newspaper clippings loosely inserted; faint rub marks to jacket back. The Ern Malley literary hoax perpetrated on Angry Penguins editor Max Harris by poets James McAuley and Harold Stewart is now the stuff of Australian literary legend. The hoax revisited (and reprinted) in this 2017 edition with its introduction by Albert Tucker and recollection by Max Harris.
