Hardcover. 2nd Edition. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. 9 7/8" x 8", 304 pages, extensively illustrated with maps and cross-sections, and colour and black and white photographs; glossary, accident analysis, list of longest and deepest dives, bibliography. This second edition on cave diving brings the story up to date with accounts of the developments that have taken place since its original publication in 1980. Apart from activity in traditional areas much of the new exploration has taken place in clear water caves in Florida, the West Indies, Mexico, South Africa and Australia, areas of interest to open water divers as well as cavers. This new material is added as a postscript, pages 281-304, at the end of the book, which is otherwise a rebind of the edition first printed in 1991. Hb in dw, short tear to upper edge of dw, otherwise a near fine copy. .
