A chilling mystery . . . 265 pp. Maroon cloth covered boards have as-new gilt text on spine. Spine ends are rubbed, evidence of moisture along bottom inch of the book. Book is not musty. Ding on fore edge that impacted on both boards and text block. Price clipped DJ has evidence of same moisture occurence as book. Rear panel is blank. Book is from the collection of the Toronto author/poet, Greg Gatenby as evidenced by his signature and the date of the book's acquisition ffep. Golding himself, flatsigned in black sharpie mid title page. SIGNED by AUTHOR. Bookseller's Inventory # 122943.

Synopsis

Darkness Visible by William Golding is a bleak tale of Matty and the people who cross his path.  Matty was terribly burned in the London Blitz, and has to endure taunting for his horrible scars for the rest of his life.  He finds two girls, twins, who are also lost children at heart.
