About This Item
London etc.: J.M.Dent, 1979. 1st ed. . Red cl.spine+yellow boards. Fine- for age/VG. 14 Cms x 22 .5 Cms. full opening t.p. with Darwin and Blyth photos on facing pages, xii+278, 14 photos on 6 leaves ex-pagination; virtually pristine but shallow crease, c.6cms, extending down from top edge on about 8 pp., this clearly a production fault and of little significance, but reduces from unqualified Fine rating, clipped jacket in rotective sleeve as acquired appears to be otherwise clean and unworn. The 'Mr. X.' was the forgotten early 19th century naturalist Edward Blyth. Wallace and Lyell also discussed. Note: quoted shipping rates are calculated for 500-700 gram net weight, cost will be modified up or down as appropriate outside this range.
