New York: Ivan Obolensky, Inc., 1961. Illustrated with line drawings by Jerome Snyder. 4to size clothbound hardcover with dust jacket; unpaginated - more than 100 pages with black and white drawings. Photographs and brief biographies of the author and illustrator are on back jacket flap. From dust jacket: " (This is) an almanac of a special kind... it is a book to read for pleasure... In brief, informative and entertaining pieces that relate to the days and months (the author) sketches a picture of the year. Holidays, the birthdays of famous men, seasonal changes, serve as a framework for a varied selection of fascinating lore from history, biography, natural history and science." Ex-library with typical treatments. Jacket is covered with mylar. Edgewear. There is a two inch tear to the bottom of the front pastedown, back pastedown is cracked and book is shaken. Fep has been clipped to remove barcode. Penciled notation on half title page and July 17th page. There is a small area of shelf soil on bottom fore-edge. . First. Cloth. Good/Good.
