Macmillan, 1967. First Edition, First Printing. Cloth. Near Fine/Fine in Archival Plastic Cover. A handsome First Edition, First Printing (so stated) of author's first hardbound novel, signed by the author on the title page. In fine condition but for bumping at the spine ends and natural browning of the page edges with a couple of very minor marks. Bound in blue-green cloth with dark red titling and the "Cock Robin" logo on the bottom right front. The dustjacket is in fine condition, complete with the original price ($4.50), "51156" on the back panel and the announcement of two new books. A Cock Robin Mystery made into a major motion picture ("Nightmare Honeymoon") by MGM released in 1974, made into a TV-movie in 1986 starring Victoria Tennant, David Dukes and made into a second TV-movie in 2010 by Island Film Group and Marvista Entertainment. Protected by an archival dustjacket.

Synopsis

Lawrence Block is a four-time winner of the Edgar Award and was named a Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America. He has also won four Shamus Awards, and was the first recipient of the Nero Wolfe Award. He is the author of over 40 books, many of which feature the characters Bernie Rhodenbarr, Matthew Scudder, Chip Harrison, and Evan Tanner. He lives in New York City with his wife Lynne.
