First and only edition of these fifty-four letters written from 1924 to 1943 to Ivy Hunt Steel and her daughter Jane. The elder recipient was born in London and emigrated ti Canada in 1920.
With an introduction and biographical end-piece "Beatrix Potter 1866-1943" by Margaret Crawford Maloney and a checklist of the Beatrix Potter holdings at the Osborne Collection (compiled by Dana Tenny. Fine Condition.
