New York: Michael D. Capua / Farrar, Straus and Giroux. Very Good+ in Very Good dust jacket. 1988. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. 0374317623 . 40 p. 23.5 cm. Signed by Illustrator Sound and square binding in cloth-covered boards. Light mottling to both boards. Minor edge wear. Previous owner's name on front pastedown endpaper. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has several foxing spots on the front panel, reverse side and fore-edge, as well as a price sticker and a bit of soil on the rear panel. It is not price clipped. A translated-into-English edition of a previously unknown German fairy tale (1983) by Wilhelm Grimm of the Brothers Grimm. Illustrated in colour by Maurice Sendak. Flat signed by him on the half title page. .
