New York: Dutton, 1952. 1st ed. Hardcover. Stated First Edition. 8vo, full brown tweed cloth, boards bowed. The first of Vidal's pseudonymous mystery stories. Boards bowed, light stain to edges of front and rear free endpaper with matching water staining to jacket, small ex libris sticker of previous owner to back pastedown, very good in lightly chipped, price-clipped dj with interior tape reinforcement to top and bottom edges of jacket.
