Hackett was an Assistant Secretary in the United States Navy. The book is inscribed by Hackett to former United States Secretary of the Navy and Governor of Massachusetts John Davis Long. Front endpaper features Long's bookplate. 5"x7.5" with 222 indexed pages. Overall a clean and crisp copy, some light wear and soil with a touch of foxing. Binding tight.. Signed by Author. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 5"x7.5".
