About This Item

New York: Viking, 1932. First American Edition . Hardcover in Dust Jacket. Very Good. 8vo (212 pages, illustrated with decorative section headers). A very good copy of the Fist American edition, in an unclipped dust jacket that is edge-worn and somewhat faded, with some light dampstaining and discoloration near the upper spine fold and a minor crease at the top of the front flap, else fine. This copy belonged to the legendary journalist Dorothy Thompson, who was a friend of Parker’s. Laid-in at the front are a couple of aged review clippings that have heavily toned the endpapers and left a small paperclip shadow. The contents are otherwise fine.
