Front cover of dustwrapper looks pretty good, though! Elleston Trevor (1920 - 1995) was a British novelist and playwright who wrote under several pseudonyms. A friendly sort of book, about Old Stripe (the badger) and his home beneath the Beech Tree, his friends, Potter, Scruff the Fox, Skip Squirrel, and other animal folk who live among quiet woodland paths, old gnarled trees, grassy banks, and the rippling stream. Green cloth. Gilt titles. B/w illustrations. 160 pages. Spine and corners bumped. Some light browning to top and tail of spine. Name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Small brown mark to rear pastedown. Dustwrapper is edge worn with tape repairs on verso, some creases and rear panel slightly grubby.
