About This Item
Signed by the author the book is a collection of paintings and drawings of Fremantle, the site for the 1987 defence of the America's Cup consisting of the world's fastest 12 metre yachts and the world's finest sailors. From the Victorian facades of Fremantle's buildings, through the busy fishing harbour and out through Gage Roads to the Indian Ocean Cup course, Bruce Swann captures the spirit of "Defence '87 Down Under". The author's commentary accompanies the art. No page numbers (100 pages). Illustrations on most pages around 50/50 split between colour and black and white. Book in near fine condition. Dust jacket in good condition with damage to bottom front (see photo) and knocks to edges particularly top back.
