Hardcover, maroon cloth boards decorated in black and gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows handling wear as well as spotting and soiling, spine is mildly faded. The internal binding is good except for the hinge at the rear board which shows a thin crack. Front hinge is good and text pages are tight. Paper is toned due to age and there is some foxing present, with the worst being the end pages and pastedowns. The front pastedown contains a signature in pencil of the original owner (W. Courtney King) along with a small bookstore advertising stamp in the corner. No other handwriting found, no library markings, nothing torn or loose.
