Norfolk, CT: A New Directions Book, 1956. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good +/Very Good. 93pp. Octavo [23.5 cm] Turquoise blue cloth over boards. The extremities are just a hair bumped, rubbed, and sunned. In the dust jacket with darkening to the spine (title still bold) and several small closed and open tears to the edges. The largest tear measures 3/4" wide by just under 1/2" deep. Kenneth Rexroth was a central figure of the San Francisco Renaissance and was among the first American poets to explore traditional Japanese forms such as the haiku.
