About This Item
New York: E. P. Dutton & Co., Iinc. , 1948. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Good cloth first edition with silver lettering on spine and black lettering on cover with Fair DJ in protective myllar cover SIGNED by both the author and her husband (actor James Mason, who also did the DJ art) on front free end paper. DJ is price clipped at bottom of front flap. Name of previous owner glued onto same page as signatures along with some pencilling from previous owner. Moisture stains to bottom of spine and interior corresponding bottom section of DJ, although this is not visible on the ouitside of the DJ. Shipping and wear to top and bottom of DJ. Shelfwear and rubbing to top and bottom of book spine and covers. Otherwise, the volume is quite sound. Spine is straight and tight. No markings anywhere except on the page where the two autographs appear. This book was produced as a movie title "Lady Possessed' which starred both Kellino and Mason. I think Mason cowrote that screenplay as well. 254 pages.
