Napoli (Naples, Italy): Nella Stamperia di Gio. Francesco Paci, 1724. 2nd Edition . Hardcover. Good. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original vellum boards with hand written title on spine. Exterior is soiled and quite darkened, front cover has remnants of an old paper label and rear board has what appears to be a bit of handwriting in the top left corner. The internal binding is good in text pages are tight. The front pastedown has a bit of writing in the upper left corner and the first title page also contains a signature, presumably of the original owner. No other handwriting found in the book, no library markings, no bookplates. This volume appears to be six different books, each one bound with its own title page and all bearing the same 1724 date. There are numerous large foldout illustrations, some of which show tape repairs. Pages are darkened due to age and foxing is present throughout, with some pages being severe. In addition, the last rear blank end page has numerous insect holes present we did not see this problem and the other pages. The number of pages in each section is as follows: Giornata Quinta 166 pp., Giornata Sesta 94 pp., Giornata Settima 130 pp., Giornata Ottava 46 pp., Giornata Nona 78 pp., and Giornata Decima 94 pp. - for an estimated total page count of 608.

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.
We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.
Yesterday's Book shop is owned and operated by a disabled veteran. Due to my limitations, I often have to rely on speech-to-text software to list the books. If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. The software spells words by phonetics and can make errors that I may not catch.

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.
