About This Item
Text is clean and unmarked in a square and tight binding. Previous owner's name written on the front free end paper has been marked over. DJ is slightly worn around the edges with a small chip on the top DJ spine. The back DJ is somewhat crinkled. From the Introduction, "The thirty-third Vice-President of the United States is not to be understood simply as an extraordinary growth of the reform administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt, dating from 1933. he is a product of a much longer growth, a family growth. Many of the traits, gifts, convictions and mannerisms of Henry Agard Wallace which may at first seem hard to understand become more clearly explicable in the light of some knowledge of his family, and particularly of the patriarchal 'Uncle henry' Wallace of Iowa, his grandfather."
