Self published, n.p, 1996. Hardcover. Fine Condition/No Dust Jacket (as issued). From the first page: "This compilation was started by Howard M. Bassett about 1950. After his death in 1965, it was laid aside in his brother's house. In 1993 and 1994 the notes, letters, and photos were gathered together and organized into this book by Peggy Bassett Stern, Betty McMahon, and Bill Bassett." The opening chapter, "Fifty Years in Flatbush" is described as "a composite story of the recollections of life in Flatbush by the five Bassett children, who were born between 1892 and 1905" (p. 1). Size: Between 11"-13" - Quatro (4to). 86 pages. Text block is tight, bright and unmarked. Bound in reddish-brown buckram over boards with bright gilt title on the spine. Corners are sharp; binding shows minimal shelf wear. No foxing in this copy. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing. Quantity Available: 1.
