Label mildly chipped and crooked, lower hinges beginning to crack, small bookplate to front pastedown. With all nine engraved plates plus the folding table. There is a 4 page supplement in the rear adding information about the flight of November 21, in which Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and François Laurent d'Arlandes, made the first first manned free balloon flight. Text in French. Fore edges uncut. Marbled boards and endpapers. MW consignment. Shelved case 10.
