About This Item
Lerwick: T & J Manson, 1891.. 4to. Half-calf, spine lettered in gilt. Frontispiece. A little foxing, but in general quite a fresh, very good copy, one creased page and a few notes in pencil. Inserted into this copy are a number of related newspaper clippings, some of which have caused yellowing of adjacent leaves. Originally published in 1822, this 1891 edition omits the plates & maps of the original, but adds music for two native airs. A description of the Shetlands, in the North of Scotland.
