Winona Lake: The Light and Life Press, 1951. Third printing. 12mo (19.5cm). Red cloth, stamped in gilt; 181,[1]pp; black and white plates. A sturdy copy, lightly rubbed, spine gently sunned, light spotting to edges of textblock and endleaves, else clean: Very Good.

DeShazer served in the U.S. military during WWII and participated in the Doolittle Rair on Tokyo. He was held as a Japanese prisoner of war, during which time he converted to Christianity from atheism. After the end of the war, he spent three decades as a missionary in Japan, even converting Mitsuo Fuchida, the Japanese captain who led the attack on Pearl Harbor; he too became a missionary. #61883.
