Great account of the early development of the Tucker car by one of it's designers. Phil Egan has defined the Tucker's niche in history better than any author before him. More importantly, he has provided us with a priceless, insider's portrait of the REAL Preston Tucker and his automotive enterprise - John F. Katz, Executive Editor - Automotive Quarterly. Fifty-one vintage B&W photographs/illustrations. ISBN-0924321008. A superb copy. Also included are five B&W copies of articles from vintage automotive magazines on the Tucker and something from the Tucker Automobile Club of America. They are : Meet the Tucker 1948 from Science Illustrated Oct 1947, We Drive and Test the New Tucker Car from Mechanix Illustrated 1948, Preston Tucker's Dream Car from Car Exchange July 1987, My Car was Too Good from Car Magazine March 1952, I Never Gave Up from Car Life Dec 1955 and finally a two page Tucker FAQ pamphlet printed by the Tucker Automotive Club of America.
