London: Alec Tiranti, 1968. Book. Good. Hardcover. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Enlarged new edition. English text. Cream hardcover with title in black on spine and front cover. Condition: Good, with a small mark to inner edge of front endpaper. No inscriptions. Some foxing to half-title, rear endpapers and last page. Dustjacket condition: Fair, generally lightly sunned, lightly shelfworn and lightly soiled. Small water splashmark to lower right corner of front cover of jacket, not affecting book underneath in any way. Loosely inserted inside the rear cover is a promotional fold-out leaflet advertising a "Variable Picture Comprising 31 Bars" by Karl Gerstner. 112pp. Four colour and many b/w illustrations. Originally published in 1964, thiis book contains a compilation of four theoretical publications by the Swiss designer Karl Gerstner (1930-2017) the titles of the essays are as follows: Programme as Typeface, Programme as Typography, Programme as Picture and Programme as Method..
