IV, 56 pp. + 60 full page copperplate engravings, 3 of which are strikingly printed in bright vivid colors including Frontis piece which has original tissue guard. Brown cloth with gold lettering on spine. Top of all pages tipped in gold. Uneven pages. Work is profusely illustrated with the copperplate engravings portraying beautiful examples of Elizabethan Architecture found in classical structures throughout the United Kingdom. Some bumping and age wear to spine, some scuffing to rear board, hinges slightly starting, some minor yellowing to pages due to age, otherwise book is in good condition.

Corners rubbed with front corners worn through. Rear board sun faded. Free endpapers tanned. Previous owner's stamp on front free end paper. Mild foxing throughout, especially on prelims. 4to. A collection of architectural and interior design, drawings and illustrations, some in colour, of Elizabethan architectural styles, including ceilings, the staircase at Hatfield House, and the painted frieze at Gilling Castle in Yorkshire and similar.

Gilt decorations between 4 raised bands to spine. However leather is rubbed with top surface worn away sporadically, and the title plate is missing from the spine but imprint of title visible. Nevertheless remaining robust and attractive. Hinge tight, marbled end papers. Previous owner heraldic bookplate and two inscriptions, to free end papers plus inserted gift letter. Brown marks and foxing sporadically throughout, particularly to preliminary pages and verso of illustration pages. Drawings, plans throughout plus 3 coloured plates in very in good condition. May incur additional postage charges overseas.
