About This Item

Detroit: Booz, Allen & Hamilton, 1965. Softcover. Very good. Unpaginated (approx. 181p,) Pages toned, text on recto, some marginalia. Note on cover label "Complete file of progress reports in accordance with Contract No. Cc 6174." As evidenced by the note on cover label, this volume comprises the papers recording the progress of the study conducted by management consulting firm Booz, Allen & Hamilton for the Area Redevelopment Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce, not the final report. According to the proposal, the study's purpose was to "develop a plan and programs for the attraction and advancement of research activity in the Detroit region." With the objective being "to contribute to the economic development of the area through additional employment directly in such research activities and, more importantly, through new industries stemming from creative work of research activity and attraction of present industries dependent upon or which would benefit from ready access to research facilities." Screw post binding. 14 foldout charts and diagrams. (11-1/4"x8-1/2")
