New York: Random House, 1953. Second printing. This copy is hand-signed by the entire original Broadway cast on the printed cast page and this copy belonged to Richard Aldrich, husband of the famous actress Gertrude Lawrence with his signature on the front free-endpaper. The book is signed by Maurice Evans, Anthony Dawson, Richard Derr, Gusti Huber, Porter Van Zandt, John Williams as well as by Billy Matthews, the stage manager of the original production. Hardbound in original cloth. The front and rear covers are scraped along the bottom edge and substantially at the bottom front corner area, there is offsetting to the front and rear endpapers, otherwise a very good copy in a very good dust jacket with a one inch tear at the tope of rear cover. The basis of the acclaimed Alfred Hitchcock directed film.
