New York: G.W. Dillingham, 1888. Hardcover. First Edition. 5 x 7in. vi. 312pp. Publisher's pebbled cloth boards with blind-stamped decoration and gilt titling. GOOD. Shows a chip of the cloth at the foot of the spine, one corner rubbed and showing, two former owner names to the front paste-down and endpaper dated 1889, slightly over-pulled in several places but holding strong, textblock is evenly toned and brittle, otherwise the binding is secure, the text is clean and unmarked, and the boards remain bright and distinct. As pictured.
