About This Item
Berlin: S. Fischer, Verlag, 1892. Hardcover. 92p., [4p. ads] 5x7.25 inches, text in German, good in recased red cloth boards. The textblock is a first edition that has been recased much later in 20thC red cloth boards cover-titled gilt; it is sewn and has new endsheets and tiny headbands, the effect quite compatible with the older first-issue paperstock. These leaves however were not stitched carefully, the textblock has cracked in several places and some leaves are at risk of detachment. The new casing is slightly cocked, possibly from careless storage, and the spine panel is faintly faded. One of several semi-autobiographical novels by the gay anarchist writer.
