Contents, author's preface; intro, map, the epic in eight books (Grottaferrata version), plus excerpts from the Andros, Escorial, and Slavic versions; notes; works consulted. Condition notes: a near-fine copy in an unclipped dust jacket sheathed in mylar. Boards tight and square with rolling to lower spine end. Interior unmarked. An enormously important work of the middle-Byzantine period. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books offers an eclectic selection mostly in the humanities, while providing specialty offerings in Eastern Orthodoxy and Byzantine civilization, theology, Christian mysticism, science fiction/fantasy (Tolkien and Inklings emphasis), and military history (esp American Civil War).

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in a magical, historic farmhouse in piedmont Maryland stuffed with books. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
