About This Item

Dublin: Graisberry and Campbell, 1812 3 volumes, Vol I, Vol II part I and Vol II part II. All brushed leather bound however after over 200 years the suede leather is weakening. All volumes have solid text block and minor foxing and aging but still highly legible. Vol I : Leather is rubbed and frayed at head and tail of spine, and front free edge.Pasted on title and vol number on spine , just legible .hinges are solid though gutter is just visible. EPs heavy marked from binding glue. Bookplate on ffep. Title page has some moisture staining bottom free end corner which has barely bled to further pages., Signature at top of title page, looks cut possibly from a rebind. This volume is very solid. Vol II part I: same tan suede binding, spine is missing and edges rubbed and frayed however boards are still attached and gutter just visible. Binding glue staining to eps. Title page has the same signature but slightly lower so is complete and a pencil notation on opposite page. Small watermark stain at base of spine block which has not bled into text. The rest of the text block is very solid. Vol II part II is the same tan suede covered boards, spine present but detached from front board. Paste down title and volume number still present , rubbing to edges consistent with other two volumes. Same binding glue stains on eps with signature on ffep top and top of title page. Hinges solid but gutter just visible . This set is worthy of a rebind since the text block on each is in very good condition and very solid. A great historical record of England and Ireland statutes. Three heavy volumes, extra shipping may be required, please contact vendor.
