London: George Phillip & Son, 1893. Undetermined. very good. 1st Edition. [vi] 92pp. Archival copy. Square quarto. Publisher's maroon cloth; title and author in gilt, spine title in same. Spine slightly darkened, crown and foot show some shelfwear, small sticker to upper portion at crown. Textblock edges slightly dust soiled. Boards show some scuffing, filing sticker to front board, corners of both bumped. Some foxing to interior, not intrusive. Illustrated with 24 listed plates from reproductions, further 2 unlisted plates bound in at rear. Spine joints remain flexible and pages turn easily. very good Publisher's archival copy, from the library of George Phillip & Son. Calvert's history of the discovery of Australia from the imaginations of the early philosophers to Cook. 1893
