English translation of Losev's paper in Russian (published inTelegrafiya i Telefoniya bez Provodov in 1927) in which he describes the discovery of the light emitting diode (LED). x, 1296 pp. 29 Plates. 8vo. Recent brown three quarter leather bindings with five raised bands at spine, black title patch with gold embossed titling, gold lines offsetting bands, blind embossed borders to front and rear boards. Interior very clean.
