Nevil Shute's second novel from 1928 is in many ways a Cold War thriller, but set in the 1920s as opposed to the 1950s, showing once again his uncanny insight into events that would occur in years to come. .

Synopsis

So Disdained is the second published novel by British author, Nevil Shute. It was first published in 1928 by Cassell & Co, then republished in 1951 by William Heinemann and issued in paperback by Pan Books in 1966.
