'New edition, thoroughly revised, with extensive additions,' recently rebound in maroon cloth with paper spine label, pagination is continuous from the missing volume 1, namely, vi, 225-595. piece torn from final leaf, though with no loss of text, illustrations are of surgical and dental equipment. There are several marginal comments, presumably contemporary, by a previous owner, including a rather forceful 'ROT' across a section on diabetes. Some occasional soiling in the text. Introductory pages have an advert for Percivall's Patent Horse Sandal, and for some other books on horses by the author. Rare - no other 19th century copy online at time of posting.. New Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
