Faber believed that all the world's myths were corrupted versions of the original stories in the Bible and was an advocate of Day-Age theory. His writings had an influence on Historicism and Dispensationalism. With a signed presentation from Laura [Hayes] Cornwallis to her step-daughter, Jemimi Isabella Wykeham-Martin in each volume, dated 1829. Laura was married to James Cornwallis, a Parliament member and a relative of Gen. Charles Cornwallis, who surrendered at Yorktown during the American Revolution. Also with "Laura Hayes" penned by her on another page in each volume. Good (covers with some wear but with spines looking like they have been burned off- no odor; contents tight but with scattered foxing, especially to the preliminary pages; some pencil notations in the text). $150.00.
