About This Item
Duckworth, 1913. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Bound in full green crushed levant morocco (signed 'CS..1913.', the C surrounding the S) on inner rear dentelle, spine with raised bands and gilt ruling, author's name and date in gilt at goot, covers ruled in gilt, all edges gilt, inner dentelles double-ruled in gilt, green endpapers (spine and extremities faded to a lustrous brown, cup ring on front cover, minor wear to extremities). PROVENANCE: signed and inscribed by Winifred Faber on first black. It is remotely possible that this binding is connected with Cobden-Sanderson, although the slightly off-kilter bands and finishing is reminiscent of advanced amateur work.Frontispiece.
