One of several famous journals by women published after our Civil War describing the everyday life of the defeated population of Virginia. Originally printed in 1906 by Doubleday, this would be a 1937 reprint by the Houghton Mifflin Co. to try and cash in on Gone with the Wind's popularity with the American people. Clean copy.
